Last June, the “59th Symposium AFI 2019” was taken place in Rimini, Italy. This annual event is organized by AFI (Associazione Farmaceutici Industria), and the Italian Ministry of Health and the Italian Medicines Agency agreed on focusing the meeting on the challenges related to “Innovation and globalization strategies for the pharmaceutical industry ” this year.
The Symposium gathered more than 1,300 professionals from the pharmaceutical industry and 100 sponsors, which participated in the 17 Scientific Sessions and the 14 Workshops organized by companies. In addition, a poster session was also organized on Thursday afternoon (link to the symposium agenda).
IBI has taken part in this session with a poster describing the formulation and characterization of the tobramycin-loaded lipid nanoparticles within the NanoGSkin project. The particular scientific value of the presentation has been recognized with a special award, resulting the second best work over 34. We congratulate our partner IBI for their work and thank the Committee of Experts for the recognition.
